Here are some quick fixes to keep your car bug free.

Tar spots are especially difficult to remove. This is because tar is made up of wood, coal or oil. A car wash alone will not remove it. There are specific cleaners to help clean tar.
A simple but effective method to eliminate tar stains, is to use diesel. Using a clean cloth , apply diesel to the affected areas. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then wipe off using another clean cloth. You should see a marked difference in the stain. This is safe on the paint.
Or you could try using some “3M General Purpose” or “WD-40”. Spray it on the tar, let it sit for a bit and then wipe clean. If the tar is thick, use a scrubbing pad. Any paint that is scratched off by the scrubbing pad can later be buffed.
Remember the jar of peanut butter? You can also use that to get rid of the tar!Again, apply it to the affected spot, let it sit for 30 seconds and then wipe clean. You may need to repeat this a couple of times.
After you have eliminated the bug/tar/ bird dropping stains, use a good quality wax or paint sealant. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3. 0 or Pinnacle Signature Series II Wax are both excellent products. They make the surface slick and prevent bugs from hanging on.
